Felt Buffing Wheels are perfect for quickly and easily keeping your woodworking and woodcarving tools in tip top shape and a pleasure to use. We have them with a Flat, Contoured and V edges so all your tools will perform like new.
Our V-Edge Felt Buffing Wheel will perform the final deburring and polish your tools to a razor sharp edge. Simply charge the wheel with your favorite strop compound (we suggest our Green Compound) before use.
V-Edge Felt Buffing Wheel
Are used for final polishing, de-burring, honing & to give the razor edge. Simply charge wheel while running with compound. Quality natural hard 100% New Zealand wool felt is used, so compound stays on longer. Unlike soft muslin & cotton wheels, hard felt will not round edges and lasts for years. V-edge wheel used for de-burring, honing & polishing of V tools and narrow gouges. Maximum safe speed for felt wheels is 3,450 rpm. Center mounting hole is 1/2″.
NOTE: As with all grinding wheels, hard felt wheels must be trued by the end user to ensure smooth operation. Truing tips and techniques are sent with each felt wheel we sell. The good news is that if the user does not remove the wheel from the grinder, the wheel is most likely not require further truing (or at least very rarely).
