Clear your calendar for this amazing opportunity!
Lynn Burnett has had a life long passion for carving, starting as a young child when she received a small Jack knife as a gift from her Grandmother. Her love of wildlife and the natural world was nurtured by her parents who raised their family to enjoy camping, the outdoors and a love for animals. Today, camping, canoeing, and exploring the outdoors is where she collects wood and is inspired by what she sees.
Over the past 15 years Lynn has been focused on learning the craft of wood carving. She has been fortunate enough to take carving classes with world class carvers where she learned the skills to use knives, chisels, power tools and paint to transform wood and other media into her three dimensional sculptures and relief carvings.
Lynn has won many first place awards in carving competitions and has appeared twice in Wildfowl Carvings “Competition” magazine. She has done commission pieces for collectors in Canada and the US and has recently been interviewed for a newscast about her carving process and her participation in an Artists Studio Tour.
One of her greatest pleasures is encouraging others to learn and enjoy the art of carving!
