Let Dave Teach you the skills needed to create these cute folk trees which can be used as holiday gifts or accents in your seasonal carving vignettes…. Carve a tree or two or three in this class and stick around to paint them, if that’s your style.

Dave Kergan is a self taught carver, you will find has pieces in collections across Canada and the US.  Some of his creations have even made their way into Europe as well.  Dave carves everything from Christmas ornaments to detailed scenes. He has competed in the Canadian Wildfowl Championship and won many ribbons with his detailed carvings of songbirds and game fish. Every day is like Christmas in Dave’s studio, he spends most of his time carving ornaments, well over 600 Christmas ornaments yearly is the trend. His Studio is called Westwinds Woodsculpting Studio, you will find his work on his Facebook page. Join Dave for a full day class, enough time to create two ornaments and learn lots of new skills.

This class will require you to bring along your own quality carving knife, a v-tool and a carving glove. The wood and paint will be supplied.

This Class will be held Saturday October 26, 2024 from 11am-4pm

Registration deadline will be October 19th as material preparations are required.

Max. number of students is 10, space is limited.
