Make your very own carving knife!

If you’ve been interested in crafting your own knife but don’t know where to start, look no further! Trident carving knife blades from Ukraine are high-quality, precision-crafted tools designed for the art of knife-making. The two most common ways of creating a handle is to start with a rectangular block with a general length and girth of your grip. or an other technique is to grip firmly a piece of modelling clay, this will also mold you fingers and leave imprints of your pressure points of your grip.  From here, you can drill a hole in the block for the blade which will be secured with dowels and wood glue. PL is a good construction adhesive that will firmly hold the blade in place.  If shaping a dowel seems to daunting, you may also cut the block lengthwise, then carve out a slot for the blade tang to fit inside. Then glue with PL or a 2 part epoxy before gluing it all back together in one piece. With a saw & sander, the potential is limitless for a handle design and you have the freedom to craft a knife to perfectly suit your carving style!
