Matthew Altland of Tennessee is the creator of Deep Hollers Carving Knives, his approach is truly professional with satisfaction his number one priority.

Each one is hand made in the Hollers of Eastern Tennessee with authentically sourced and aged local lumber. Ever handle is individually cut, shaped and sanded taking on a character that is unique and original.  The blades are finished with a high grade polished premium steel finished off with a rich lustrous seal on the handle. The ergonomics on the wood handles have been reviewed, research and critiqued by seasoned carvers from far and wide.

Cheap knives are the most expensive! What?

Yes, buying cheaper tools actually becomes more expensive in the long run as you will have to replace them more often. They will not stay sharp as long as better quality tools and they will wear faster. Always buy the best quality woodcarving tools you can afford. It pays! Also consider the pleasure you experience when using a quality tool of any sort as compared to the frustration when using poor quality tool.
