Hand Strops

Nothing will maintain the mirror edge sharpness on your carving knives and chisels like a good leather strop.  Nor make your carving cleaner and easier!  Our quality strop can be used on all your carving tools and will last a lifetime.  Also, for those carvers who ‘travel’ it is an excellent alternative to your power strop.  Made right in our Chipping Away shop, we mount Heavy Duty premium leather on both sides.  The strop comes with sample of our Chipping Away Red polishing rouge and instructions. Leather itself measures 7″ X 1 3/8″.

Power Strops

These quality wheel-type leather strops fit into any power drill and will polish your tools in record time.  Rated for speeds of 600 to 800 rpm. We offer two kits:  both kits include a 3.5″ diameter leather wheel 3/4″ wide, mandrel and a stick of white rouge buffing compound.  The DELUXE KIT contains a 3.5″ diameter V-shaped leather wheel for buffing inside V-tools and gouges in addition to the 3/4″ wide wheel.

Slip Strop

The Flexcut Slip Strop is an economical way for maintaining your tools razor edge.  It has been specially molded to allow for polishing and deburring the hard to reach areas on the inside of V-tools and gouges as well as the outside edge bevel. Consequently, either side of the strop can be used. Each Slip Strop includes a mini-bar of Flexcut Gold polishing compound and detailed instructions.
