Pewter Song Bird – TOES ONLY
Song bird toes are cast in a special pewter alloy from molds of actual song bird species. Therefore, they are exact replicas in size and detail. Prices are for a pair of toes – left and right! Toes are available for Song Birds only (Sparrow Hawk or Kestrel is the one exception). Made in USA.
Toes can be bent if you use caution. We have found that boiling the feet in hot water will make the pewter softer and easier to bend. In addition, we also found that such a procedure makes them brittle. Therefore, more easily broken consequently use caution. For bending, we simply recommend a light touch and keep an equal amount of pressure toward the knuckle as in the downward motion. Slight bends at a time are best.
