Merlin 2 “The World’s Smallest Chain Saw” is a miniature woodcarving set from King Arthur’s Tools. It features an eight-tooth saw chain that’s only two inches in diameter.  Merlin 2 has been completely re-engineered inside and out.  Merlin 2 utilizes spiral gears and as a result work harders and operates more quietly.  Therefore it also produces less vibration than the previous model.  Safety improvements include a one-piece cast aluminum safety guard that is both safer and more durable.  It comes with a switch guard to reduce accidental starting, and more resilient materials less susceptible to damage. The exterior includes a textured neck for better grip.  It is ergonomically designed and therefore provides comfort with less hand, arm and wrist fatigue. Because the interior includes a new motor it powers effortlessly between 0 – 13,000RPM’s and thersfore offers improved efficiency.

The Merlin 2 is more than just a carving tool!  Merlin allows for smooth cutting and excellent control.  Great for light stock removal and use in tight, difficult to reach areas.  This wizard will do what other tools just can’t do.  Merlin can be used with a variety of accessories for grinding, roughing, and finishing.
