Foredom Handpieces
Handpieces are required to operate a flexible shaft machine (motor-speed control combination). Therefore Foredom offers an extensive selection.
There are two main types: The Key Tip/Interchangeable Handpieces have Quick Disconnect consequently allowing users to switch them quickly and easily. We call these handpieces Interchangeable. In addition they offer General Purpose, Quick Change, Special Use, and Duplex Spring models. While the woodcarver’s most popular choice is the H.44T. It is a collet type handpiece that accepts accessories with up to 1/4″ diameter shanks. Furthermore, 44T has prelubricated ball bearings that require no additional lubrication. Comes with 3/32″, 1/8″ and 1/4″ collets, pin and wrench for changing collets and accessories. 5-5/8″ long, 1″ dia. (center), 3/4″ dia. (taper), wt: 5.85 oz, ship wt: 8.6 oz . Other size collets are also available separately.
Square Drive Handpieces: There are 4 Models for attaching to heavy duty, square drive shafting (style of shafting that comes on Series SRH, TXH, LXH motors).
