Kurtis Anderson is not a woodcarver – he is a knife maker! We approached him to make us a knife that would not only look good but fit our ideal handle shape. He has accomplished this to perfection. Of course he knows steel seeing that he cuts, grinds, sharpens and tempers each knife individually before polishing to a mirror finish.
Anderson carving tools are handmade and one of a kind. The handles are absolutely beautiful and vary in color as he uses select North American hardwood. The unique handle shapes make them comfortable to hold.
More About Anderson Wood Carving Knives
Kurtis uses quality high carbon steel and shapes the blades to a low thinner profile. This allows the tool to slice through the wood quicker and easier. His tempering process produces tools that keep their sharp edge for long periods of time. As a result these quality woodcarving tools only need to be stropped to keep them sharp and in top working order. Therefore do not re-sharpen unless you have to (broken or misshaped edge).
