KCT Carving Tools

The transition process is now complete.  Production on the line of KCT Tools is in full swing.  The Kryshak’s Carving Tools (KCT) are continuing the legacy of OCC Tools. We appreciate the loyalty that KCT Tools has invested over this past year and we are excited to offer these tools to the carving community once again under their new brand. These quality carving tools won’t disappoint.

KCT’s 01 tool steel is a deep hardening knife making steel with more alloy than other leading knives which holds an edge longer. The Handles are made from specially selected American hardwoods like oak, walnut and maple. cently purchase The branded company from Mike and Sherry Shipley and  Carving Tools are well respected and time honored.  Denny retired a number of years ago. Mike Shipley apprenticed with Denny and then took over manufacturing the line of carving tools.  Mike’s company is called OCCT Tools (Ozark Country Carving Tools).  Mike is an accomplished carver and author himself and therefore knows the importance of producing a quality tool.

KCT tools come sharpened and polished, ready-to-use.  Their oak handles are sized to fit in the palm of your hand and therefore are most suitable for carvers that hold their projects in their hand, like caricatures, etc.  The handles have been shaped in relation to the blade size, sanded, and sealed.  Finally, Chipping Away is proud to offer these quality tools to our customers.
