Flexcut Slip Strop and Compound
The Flexcut Slip Strop is an economical way for maintaining your tools razor edge. It has been specially molded to allow for polishing and deburring the hard to reach areas on the inside of V-tools and gouges as well as the outside edge bevel. Either side of the strop can be used. Each Slip Strop Kit includes a mini-bar of Flexcut Gold polishing compound and detailed instructions.
When should I strop?
Stropping your tools is absolutely necessary to keep them in fine working condition. Sharpening your tools should be kept to a minimum and normally required only if the edge has been damaged. Yes, tools will eventually have to be sharpened with an abrasive to refresh the original edge but only when absolutely necessary. Stropping, on the other hand, should be done frequently. Similarly, a slip strop is ideal for stropping the inner channels of your tools.
