Flexcut Carving Knives
Every Flexcut Carving Knife is made with the same edge-holding steel as their gouges. Innovative shaped Ash handles are standard with each knife. Because the handles are comfortable and ergonomic they allow for long periods of carving without hand fatigue. The knife collection is large and therefore offers carvers a wide range of capabilities from very detailed projects to roughing out waste wood.
While Flexcut offers a large selection of blades, Pop suggests that the #12 and #13 are the best knives for beginners to use. These knives are exceptionally sharp and therefore easily controlled. The double-bevelled, high-carbon spring-steel blades (Rc54) come fully honed, ready for use. The #12 Cutting Knife is a general purpose carving knife and due to its more rounded point is very durable. Blade Bevel Length: 1-1/4″. The #13 Detail Knife has a very fine point and therefore perfect for making the very narrow cuts associated with detailing. The #13 has a straight blade and therefore can accommodate larger stock removal if needed. Blade Bevel Length: 1-1/2″
