Basswood Practice Boards

Our practice boards measure 3/8′ thick x 4″ wide and 11″ long. They planned smooth on both sides and therefore ready to use without further preparation.
We try our best to get them without any blemishes whatsoever …but because wood is a natural product, it is very difficult. We do promise you that at least one side of the board will be blemish free. These practice boards are cut from kiln dried basswood and therefore less prone to warping. Keeping them away from heat sources will help maintain their moisture content. Many of our customers use these boards to built small boxes, coasters, etc.

You have probably seen our layout template in the Chip Carving Drawing Tool section ... it works just great for border layout on your projects. But what about drawing and practicing rosettes and free form patterns? If you don't mind the drawing, and a great number of chip carvers do enjoy the drawing, that is fine ~ but us other people (Pop included) would much rather spend our time carving.CA $20.00 -
