Let us explain the backstory……
Ashten Brown was introduced to the carving world 20 years ago by her grandfather.  A well-known carver and teacher, Mr. Greg Wirtz. Ashten began her carving journey while on summer vacations in Iowa with the Affiliated Wood Carvers club.

Many years ago, Ashten met Mr. Denny Neubauer (the founder and former maker of Denny Tools). As a young woman Ashten did not understand the importance of this introduction. Fast forward to 2022, it was a luncheon one Sunday afternoon that launched the idea that would change her path in the world of woodcarving. Ashten was no longer going to just be a carver enjoying the craft but ultimately, take over a tradition and become the product manufacturer of a fine quality hand made carving tools. She enlisted the help of her good and long-time friend Denny Neubauer and her Grandpa Greg to help her learn the trade of knife making. She spent considerable time making knives with Denny at her side, and she continues to study under his helpful and knowledgeable guidance. She is now learning the tricks to bending and manipulating steel to create a line of gouges. Denny shared so much of his skill set with Ashten that she has become a quick study creating a new product with outstanding quality and craftsmanship.

All knives are made with O1 Tool Steel, precision cut with a water jet, and sharpened by hand. All handles are made from quality hard wood and individually shaped by hand.
A clear semi matt finish on the handle which still offers good grip capability and keeps the dirt away from staining the grain. Each handle has been branded with their attractive Badger State logo.
