Hannah studied fine art right here in Waterloo at U of W. One of her specialties is realistic pet portraiture. She captures the essence of the pet’s personality through the portraits she creates. She brings with her an outstanding skill set in illustration.  Hannah will share with you tips and tricks on pattern transfer, texture, shading, capturing light, avoiding mistakes, the finer details and lastly, finishing the piece. Hannah is approachable and has previous experience teaching in galleries. You can expect nothing but the best experience as you learn through her unique teachings. Hannah will help you creates beautiful functional keepsake projects that will be admired and cherished as a one-of-a-kind gift to yourself or a loved one.

You will get to work on roughly a 9×9 inch piece of live edge cherry that Hannah has cut and sanded to 320 grit for an ultra smooth burning surface. Cherry is an amazing hardwood that is very popular in wood burning and burns in a deep brown with reddish hints. It’s perfect for creating a warm, lively piece that makes finer details easy and fun to render.

This class is for a student with some pyrography experience and student must have their own professional brand wood burner with interchangeable pens/tips.

This Class will be held Sunday May 28th 10am-4pm

Registration deadline will be May 19th as material and image preparations are required.

Max. number of students is 10, space is limited.
