Large or Small Cutting knives – depending on your hand size and how deep or detailed your cuts are.

A wider throat on the New Cutting Knives makes it much easier to see the lines you are following. Badger State Blades has developed these with similar features of the original Moor knives. Your thumb is kept back out of the way.  Plus, they are the most comfortable chip carving knives you will ever hold!

Why have both you ask?

The large blade on the large knife is for deeper, larger cuts while the smaller blade on the small knife will allow tighter cuts and improve the outcome of the small details.

Its nice having both options, Chip carving can be done with just one knife, but we all know how hard it is to say no to a second tool when you know how much job this hobby brings. The blades are hand cut, ground and polished to the same standards as any quality 01 tool steal Chip Knife you find on todays market.  Hardened to hold their edge well.

The new “small” cutting knife, has a slightly bulkier handle than the original injection mold small knife handle, but still built with small hands in mind.  It is very comfortable for those with small hands.  Those with larger hands will appreciate this new design as being easier to hold and therefore control for those delicate tasks.
